I’m a resident in this houses IOP/PHP living home, and I’m extremely disappointed by the ongoing cockroach problem—specifically Turkestan cockroaches. Staff and maintenance keep calling them “water bugs,” but anyone who knows the difference can see they are clearly cockroaches. This isn’t just gross—it’s unsanitary and triggering for people trying to recover in a clean, safe environment. A sober home should prioritize hygiene, health, and peace of mind, but that’s not what we’re experiencing right now. Until this infestation is taken seriously and dealt with by licensed pest control, I can’t recommend this place to others looking for a stable recovery environment.

This place was great at first, they were very accommodating and caring, when I got there. So anyone who goes to rehab knows they drug test you when you get there correct ? You would test for drugs of course that's why whoever need help seek a substance abuse facility for treatment. Somehow I tested clean when I got there on ad the end of the week. I had no knowledge of that they didn't say anything to me while I was there. Beginning of every week they test you. I finally tested Diirrty which I was supposed to be when I got there. I was just going on about my day with the group, then all a sudden they ask me to the office had all my things packed for me and discharged me had my things in the car told me to leave I was shocked. Drove me to Palm Springs airport left me there. I traveled from Northern California down to Palm Springs with my own money for treatment at Bayan. They didn't even give me a chance to speak on the matter. This is the worst facility I've ever been to.

My nephew suffered from mental health and is extremely young , banyan was told this and did several assessments with him before admitting hi to this facility leaving us under the impression that they could handle his level of care . Two days in they sent him to aurora behavioral health and they kept all his belongings like one and clothes and hygiene . They told him the whole tie he was in aurora he was going to go back to banyan until 4-3 days before his discharge from aurora . I can't believe a truant facility would put someone through all this including our family when y nephew is suicidal and can barely handle anything . My nephew told me the nurse was extremely rude and now he fears opening up about how he is actually feeling . I give this place zero stars because they basically left my nephew homeless with mental health 3-4 hours away from where he lives . I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you want to jump through a series of highs and lows and I think they just took hi initially because they accepted his insurance without actually being able to provide the level of care he needed.......

I hated banyan this place makes you feel claustrophobic too many alcoholics. And I’m a addic. I can’t relate to alcoholics. Banyan expects you to forcefully STAY to complete your detox in order to get out of that hot trash desert. Literally in the middle of nowhere Smh. The worse case manager I have ever encountered, forgot his name who made it very difficult for me to talk with him. I don’t recommend this place at all you can’t even own a VAPE. You gotta only smoke nasty cigarettes! Only person I respected was that older sr gentleman who was a staff that drove me out of the desert back to LA. Good man… everyone else. Had no empathy or sympathy. Just wanted to run em pockets dry
