Horrible they flew my wife out and then called the next day saying there was a problem with the insurance and they pushed her out the door the same day she got there. Ridiculous don’t let them trick you

My husband was a patient at this facility for 3 days. He was there for alcohol abuse he also transferred there from a brain rehab facility due to a crane accident. He has a tramatic brain injury, I received a call stating he was cussing at the staff, I ask them to get ahold of his attorney to so he could speak to them and to reach out to the rehab facility he came from. They claim they could not get ahold of either. So they had him put his belongings in a laundry basket and dropped him off at John Wayne Airport with 26.00. So my husband with a TBI was walking around like a homeless person at an airport. They had been in contact with me the whole time, when I called to get an update I was told it was to late they had dropped him off at the airport. If Windward Way can not handle someone going through detox cussing at the staff then they should shut this facility down or hire people who can handle all types of situations. Do not sent your loved ones to Windward Way. They had bare minimum food nothing healthy. My husband arrived with 80.00 and was given 26.00 when he left they were suppose to get back with me about the money - shocker I have not heard from them. I would rate this place a minus 0.

windward way was awful. everything they tell you is a lie. everything they tell you to get you in is simply just that. i was held here unprofessionally and made me feel so trapped and scared. the one star is only for the foot in the door to recovery. 50 days baby!

I was really optimistic going into Windward, but all of their website photos are deceiving. Their employee who picked me up from the airport was (allegedly) hitting a dab pen and took me to what I was told over the phone would be a "thorough intake process" was really a breathalyzer and UA. The person doing my "intake" asked me which program I was here for - I told him nobody told me and shouldn't he know?? The admissions person I spoke with over the phone said I would have "chef made meals". I was dropped off at a Vons with a $75 gift card to buy groceries for the week. As someone with a dual diagnosis, this was incredibly misleading and resulted in me not eating for 24 hours. The same admissions person said "the home i would be in would have shared rooms, but plenty of bathrooms". I arrived to the house which had 1 bathroom shared among 7 women. Sadly my time here only lasted 18 hours due to the fact that what was described to me over the phone was the exact opposite of what i walked into. Don't waste your time here.
